2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Customers
We may collect your location while the application is in use to:

Drivers and Couriers
We may collect precise and background location information while drivers or couriers are:

For drivers and couriers, Dijo may collect location information while the app is running in the background in order to:
Enable real-time delivery tracking;
Support dispatching and order assignment;
Provide navigation assistance;

Maintain platform safety and fraud prevention systems.
Background location data is collected only where necessary for platform functionality and where appropriate permissions have been granted.

9. ACCOUNT DELETION
Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information by:
Using available in-app account deletion tools; or
Contacting Dijo directly using the contact details below.
Certain information may be retained where required for compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, tax or legal purposes.
If you wish to be informed what Personal Data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, or you want to entirely delete your account on Dijo please contact us by email: support@dijo.app
If you use the mobile App (Dijo: Food and Grocery delivery) Follow the steps below to delete your Dijo account.
If you want to delete your account but don’t have or cant remember your password, you’ll need to create one before you can delete your account.
Log into your Dijo app.
Go to the Menu within the App on the right
Click  Profile.
In the profile page you would see a button that says Delete Account.
Select Delete Account if you intend for us to deactivate your account and delete your personal data.
You would receive a pop-up prompt for Account Deletion.
Click Yes, this would initiate the process for the deletion of your account.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Dijo is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 without parental or guardian consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Dijo may contain links to or integrations with third-party platforms, websites and services.
Dijo is not responsible for the privacy practices, content or policies of third-party services.
Users are encouraged to review third-party privacy policies independently.

12. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Dijo may use cloud hosting providers, payment processors, analytics providers and infrastructure services located outside Botswana.
As a result, personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Botswana.
Where such transfers occur, Dijo will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards and protections are implemented in accordance with applicable law and industry standards.
By using Dijo, users acknowledge and consent to such cross-border processing where necessary for service delivery.

Updated versions will be published on our website and applications together with a revised effective date.
